Dr. Mehrdad Fojlaley Presented Innovative Plasma Technology in Cameroon
The event was attended by the Minister of Trade of Cameroon, leading food industry executives, poultry producers, supermarket chain representatives, and key stakeholders in the agricultural and food sectors. During the session, Dr. Fojlaley presented his cutting-edge plasma-based preservation technology, designed to significantly increase the shelf life of food products while maintaining quality and safety standards.
This innovative plasma technology, including Nano TiO₂ plasma applications, has demonstrated remarkable results in reducing microbial load and extending the market shelf life of poultry and other perishable food products. The solution offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical preservation methods.
The primary objective of this international engagement was to introduce the technology to global markets and contribute to reducing food waste worldwide. By extending shelf life and improving food safety, this innovation aims to help countries optimize their food supply chains, reduce economic losses, and enhance food security.
Dr. Fojlaley emphasized that global collaboration in advanced food technologies is essential to addressing one of the world’s most critical challenges: preventing food waste and ensuring sustainable food distribution.
This visit marks an important step toward expanding international partnerships and implementing next-generation plasma solutions across global food industries.
